Eamonn Campbell - A Musical Tribute

A Louth legend who embraced the spirit of The Dubliners to become a Dublin Legend. Eamonn Campbell was a great friend of TradFest having performed at the festival many times. We celebrate Eamonn’s life in music with performances by some of Ireland’s greatest trad and folk acts plus as a special performance by The Dublin Legends. Eamonn started playing guitar in the 1960s after hearing Elvis Presley's 'That's All Right' and played with the Viceroys and The Delta Boys. He met the Dubliners while touring with Dermot O'Brien in 1967 and joined the band 20 years later. Eamonn worked as musician, arranger and producer with stars such as Cilla Black, Paddy Reilly and The RTE Concert Orchestra. He produced all of 'The Dubliners’ work from 1987 onwards and was responsible for bringing The Dubliners and The Pogues together. The result was 'The Irish Rover', their biggest hit in Britain.

All proceeds from this night will go to the charity Coolmine.
