Birdwoman Proudly presents : Fun Things for Mad Times. An evening of banter in song, poem and word format.

Poignant and comical, this enigmatic front woman (AKA :Kellie Marie Reynolds) is both overwhelmed by and beyond excited about her first live performance since the pandemic hit. Fun Things for Mad Times is an experimentation of things she wrote to make herself laugh through the lockdown when the crying became too exhausting. These songs and poems and meanderings will be both rehearsed and improvised.

With the current title for Leinster Slam Champion 2019 in her handbag, a whole collection of  reworked tunes from her 2019. album “And then The Day Came” and an in development Theatre Show “Cosmic Machine” which premiered as part of Scene and Heard at Smock Alley in February 2020, Birdwoman is as innovative and multifaceted as she is talented.

“She Brings a magical flavour to the female folk scene with distinct Charm” (Golden Plec)

“A fine clatter of ideas and well worked lyrics” (The Irish Times)

“(Cosmic machine) ……is a heartfelt, meaningful and important piece of work (Simon Cullen)

“Blown Away every time by her empowerment” (Fiona O’ Loughlin, the Social Sessions)

With Elements of Folk, Punk and Spoken Word, think P.J Harvey meets Patti Smith meets Grace Slick meeting your mother at an art exhibition.

Birdwoman will be joined on the night by singer songwriter MysTree (AKA Brona Keogh) who has just released her debut EP “Packed my Bags” to critical acclaim and who will be playing things, banging things, singing things and saying things.
