Social Dancing with a difference with hit music from the 60s, 70s and 80s from our DJ Gerry Sexton!

Everybody welcome!

The aim of REVIVE Social Disco events is to try and do something positive for those of us of an age or any age who still enjoy this wonderful music of the 60’s 70’s 80’s and to get a chance not just to listen to the great originality and creativity of groups such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Guns and Roses, but also to dance and sing along with the giants of disco the Bee Gees, Rod Stewart, the Bellamy Brothers, Dr Hook The Style Counsil, and soul and the blues divas Aritha Franklin, Whitney Houston and to great rock artists and bands such as U2, Van Morrison, Paul Weller, Joni Mitchell Bot Dylan Hot Chocolate, The Doobie Brothers, David Bowie etc etc but find there is nowhere to go to dance to it any more.

Our venture would like to honour this extraordinary creative and original period of music in rock soul disco country rock funk Motown etc and have a fantastic place and atmosphere to enjoy dancing where there is no pressure on anyone. Everyone can be just themselves. Neat dress is recommended.

Also we would like this to be accessible to everyone not just couples but also single people, widows, widowers people on their own who often find themselves excluded from events through no fault of their own and so this is a sense of helping build community for all on the dance floor

in a very positive way. We want all the original sunny music of the Beatles and what came after them in the 70’s 80’s and onwards to be on the dance floor again.

So come along and dance the night away. Great memories, great music, and great craic. If you are old enough to love these songs then you are young enough to dance!

The disco starts at 9.30 pm and finishes at 12.30 am
